The stuffs were friendly and service was good! The store is just to go but there are many tables and chairs inside and outside the ferry building. I really like their lotus roots salad. Good texture and a little bit spicy.

Delica is a true gem at the Ferry Building. It is a Japanese food market. It has a grab-and-go section, featuring bento boxes and onigri. Then there is a combination section where you can choose a salad, soup, and main dishes from many good choices. Served cafeteria style. You choose at the counter and pay at the end. It does not have a sit-down area. You take your food and go to the hall or outside to enjoy your meal. The choices were plenty, and the food tasted good. The price is very reasonable and affordable esp at the Ferry Building where everything cost even more.

Came here for lunch on a workday, there's a line but took less than 5 minutes to start ordering. I went with the combo that included 1 salad + 1 soup + 1 entree. Shrimp Cake - This was pretty unique and was the star of the show. The Steph Curry of the Warriors if I'd say. Crispy with a light and fluffy batter. Biting into it, you see a handful of full shrimp pieces inside. It's mixed together with a white creamy sauce which gives it a very balanced flavor. Bomb. 5/5. Wasabi Cabbage Potato Salad - It had lots of texture from the edamame and cabbage yet was still creamy from the potato salad. The wasabi flavor is light and not overpowering. All of this went straight into the tum, 4.5/5. Miso Soup - Flavorful miso soup. Tbh, hard to mess up miso soup and/or make theirs outstandingly better. It went great with the salad + entree. Solid.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Delica. I was attending a conference nearby and when we broke for lunch the ferry building was the best place to find something for everyone. Our group ended up here, and I was impressed by the variety of fresh offerings, and the price point. I chose the curry, and it was exactly what I needed to recharge me for the rest of a busy day. It should be noted that while some spots in the Ferry Building offer seating, this one doesn't so you'll need to find somewhere to seat yourself if you're not taking it to-go. We found some seats outside near the water, and had a really lovely lunch. Overall if I worked in the area on a regular basis I'm sure this spot would be in my regular lunch rotation.
